Medical Supplies

Debbie Lester, our Clinical Practice Manager, Uganda coordinates the programme, and throughout the year collects medical supplies for Kiwoko Hospital in Uganda. Debbie is assisted in the collection by a wonderful team of volunteers and hospitals in Seattle.

We only send equipment and supplies that are well within their expiry date. We do not send medication, as largely this can be purchased in-country. If you can donate medical supplies, you will need to get them to our storage space in Seattle.

Some suggestions of items needed are:

    • Incubators
    • Med Infusion pumps
    • Neonate cots
    • Maternity bras
    • Baby ‘slings’ to assist Mum’s with Kangaroo Care
    • Warming beds
    • Kits for Mum’s in labour
    • A portable Doppler
    • Suction machines
    • Glucotrend test strips and meters
    • We would also be grateful of an additional Sonosite Ultrasound machine and the probes that are used in conjunction with it.

So if you have good quality equipment, Debbie would love to hear from you, to see if we can use the equipment you have. Contact her on deb@isis.bm
