The Amrit Tibetan Medical Clinic was established to provide alternative care to Humlis, particularly during the period of serious political unrest in Nepal. Tibetan doctors, trained in India, provide traditional Tibetan medical treatment to villages in the Humla region via a ‘mobile clinic’ – they travel with yaks and ponies to get to the most remote areas.
